Ed had mentioned a thread for new music so hear it is.
Here's a few new ones that I came across.
Ed, have you heard Panda Bear - Person Pitch. It's one of the guys from Animal Collective. It's pretty cool.
I also like The Twilight Sad - Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters.
Menomena - Friend and Foe isn't too shabby. |

yeah, that album is awesome, its got beach boys pet sounds written all over it. Never heard of the other two, but I'll look them up.
I'm listening to The NightWatchmen (Tom Morrello from RATM) right now, its ok, think late 60's war protest songs. All acoustic.
I also grabbed Perry Farrell's new project, Satellite Party. Haven't listened to it yet, but I'm interested from what I've read in the magazines.
I like the new chem bros, especially the last song.
New wilco is alright.
I like the new Apples in Stereo too. Think I've said that before on here.
And call me weird, but I think Amy Winehouse is awesome. I also don't mind Lily Allen.
Got the new Bjork and its.....well, I bet Zillionz likes it. That earth intruders song she did on SNL is pretty sweet tho.
I wasn't that impressed in the new Dungen cd, but I should listen to it again.
New Marilyn Manson is kinda alright, nothing to write home about.
New Clinic is kinda more of the same, but what did you expect, I like some songs on it tho.
The Shortbus soundtrack might be one of the best sdtks i've heard in a long time.
I got the new The Bravery album too, but I know its going to be crappy. Got the new Travis but haven't listened yet.
Unkle's got a new cd coming out thats supposed to be rock oriented, and I'm also looking forward to the new QOTSA and wondering about the new SP...I should download their new song.
I think thats it, I've been waiting for one of these threads to come along, heh.
oh yeah, if you're feeling spirited the Girl Talk remix of Grizzly Bears - Knife song is fuggin awesome! _________________

This comment has just discredited your entire list of reviews.

I heard the Smashing Pumpkins at a BBQ yesterday. Sounds modern but old skool pumpkins at the same time. Must be the lineup?
I still havent heard the new BRMC or Panda Bear.
I'm going to buy the new QOTSA because I always like their artwork. Only heard 1 song and I like it so far.
The new Chemical Brothers is awesome and yes Ed the last song is bitchin'!
Satellite Party is sweet, that dude Nuno Betancourt from Extreme plays guitar which I think is cool and funny but it sounds great so rock on!
I also heard a Quentin Tarrantino cd last night? This dude said it was called Death Proof. It had a lot of different bands and it was a good CD.
I was listening to The National at a friends house after work and I thought the songs I heard were pretty cool. And I really like the new Fiest disc.
I'm working way too much to hear good music nowdays. I can listen to internet radio or any music over the internet at work because it's blocked. _________________ Previously on LOST... |

Some trivia:
In the new movie "Black Snake Moan", Samual L Jackson's character dabbles in the blues. There is a scene where his band plays (and he sings) the song "Stagger Lee" in a bar. However, it is a different version of the song that Nick Cave plays.

Another sighting: The song "Staggolee" by "Pacific Gas & Electric" is on the Death Proof soundtrack.
That song is a whore. |

From Wikipedia:
In 2005, Homme was involved in a scuffle with Dwarves frontman Blag Dahlia at a L.A. club. Homme taunted Dahlia, poured beer on his head and struck him with the empty bottle. Homme was ordered to remain at least 100 yards away from Dahlia and the club, was sentenced to 3 years probation with community service, and was forced to enter a rehab program for 60 days.
Sorry, I just love to contradict others. So what are ya gonna do about it? Hit me with a beer bottle? |

Excellent! I was thinking we could have a big movie night when it comes out, so we can all get together, watch the movie, and feel depressed and unwilling to talk to each other when it's over... together!
Also...
