The
Fuzz formed in Lansing, MI in 1998 by high school chums intent on
creating original music. Playing
an attractively disjunct and effects-laden musical sweep, The Fuzz
creates beautifully distorted melodies fueled with elements of noise and
space rock. The
group is known for their high-energy, multi-media live performances.
Incorporating projected images and an overwhelming abundance of yard
gnomes, a Fuzz show is truly unlike any other. The
band has been playing shows almost nonstop since formation, with 140+
gigs at over 50 venues in MI, IL, PA, MA, KY, OH, WI, and Ontario. The
Fuzz has released 2 studio LPs, a live LP, and 2 limited-edition EPs.
The latest CD, “Noise Destroyers” has been receiving
excellent reviews as well as airplay on several college radio stations. The
group has recently been included in some impressive compilations
including “Midwest Heavy Hitters” (Discmakers’ Independent Music
World Series), “Buzz Songs Vol. 2” (3000 records), and “Capital
City Noise” (Lansing Noise). A performance at the 2003 NEMO Music Conference in Boston has brought the group some positive national attention. They are currently seeking a recording contract. |
